Africa Day celebrates the emancipation of African nations from colonial rule and represents the reclamation of our rights to chart our own development trajectory. Reframing the narratives that have been told about the many cities, peoples and cultures in this continent is vital for ensuring that all people of Africa have the agency to shape this development. That is why on Africa day RISE Africa is focusing on how we build new narratives for shaping inclusive, vibrant and sustainable cities on the continent.
RISE Africa is the Africa Day event for cities.
